2021 Season Outlook

By Craig Handjian, 11/19/20, 8:45AM PST

Greetings PVLL Nation:

Hoping everyone is safe and healthy.  We realize it has been some time since our last communication and want to provide an update and outlook for the Spring 2021 season.

November 1st usually marks the opening of registration, but with so much hanging in the balance, we have decided to postpone our registration for Spring 2021 until further notice.  Please know we are working hard to figure out how and when to reopen.  When this time comes, it will be fast and efficient, and we will provide all the information needed to welcome you back to the start of the new season.

We are currently monitoring the situation and as most of our children are still online for school, there remain very strict limitations for PVPUSD Baseball field use.  Our hope is that after the New Year we will better understand our limitations so we can determine what modifications need to be made to our operations to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all our kids.  In the meantime, we are communicating with county and local officials, PVPUSD, and our friends from other Little Leagues here on the hill and across the South Bay.

At this point, the PVLL board is busy evaluating how we will deliver baseball to all of you in the upcoming season.  As you can imagine this is very challenging.  While we all desire to get back to baseball as it was on Opening Day last year, our main goal is to assemble a plan that will put a high-quality product on the field that is both safe and fun for all.

We appreciate your patience as we navigate these unprecedented times.  We will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available, but please understand there are many unknowns at this point and the factors leading toward decisions change from week to week.  We appreciate your continued support and look forward to 2021!

Thank you.
